Most of us women have eyebrows that require some type of definition (eye brow shaping) to look complete. Applying make-up to your eyebrows helps them stand out and look complete. At first, you may feel the eye brow pencil has exaggerated your eye brows. Just remember that your are used to seeing your old look and it takes a short time to adjust to a new look.

The perfect eyebrow shaping starts above the inside corner of your eye (over the tear duct), and ends at the outside corner, above your eyelashes. Eyebrows should have an arch: in nature, it’s rarely where it should be, which a frustrating commentary on standards of beauty is. Ideally, the arch happens over the iris, the colored part of your eye. It should be gentle, so if you’re planning to reshape your arch, take it very, very slowly. Do a hair or two a day, and err on the side of caution.

The biggest mistake people make is to tweeze too much. Avoid overplucking as it can take months for brows to grow back. Here’s a simple trick to remember: The space between your brows should be equal to, or a little wider than, your eyes. To find where your brow should go, take a long eyeshadow brush or pencil and hold it parallel to the side of your nose. Where the brush meets your brow is where your brow should begin.

Trim your eyebrows. This will make a big difference in helping you look younger. Once eyebrows reach a certain length they start losing pigments at the ends. I love using a mustache trimmer set I purchased at a department store. It comes with a little comb and perfect point scissors. Comb your eyebrows up, trim any excess that goes beyond the natural hair line. Comb your eyebrows down, and do the same. It may seem like a lot at first but trust me, you will love the outcome.

Instead of applying to the head use the q-tips to apply to eyebrows. Usually the treatment is required twice a day. Be careful not to get any of the solution in your eyes.

To add a sensuous curve to your round face and make it look oval , let the line ascend upwards and then drop with a nice arc. The peak of the arcshould occur at the end of the brow. Longer brows tend to widen the face , not narrow it.

A rounded brow can soften an angular face while a peaked brow can help narrow the width of the distinctive rhombus face.

Make sure that before plucking your eyebrows you brush them up first and then sideways. Doing so will show the natural pattern of your eyebrow and will also show any unruly hair that need to be plucked out.

To determine where it should end, hold the pencil diagonally against the outer corner of the eye pointing up to the brow bone.

Look for your natural arch. Again, place the pencil next to the right side of your nose. This time, move the pencil so that it also covers the outer edge of your iris. When doing this, you should be standing straight and looking straight into the mirror.
