No matter how long you have been wearing makeup, you can always learn new tricks. Every girl knows that makeup is definitely an art form that requires a great deal of time and diligence. We are always up for trying new tricks, techniques, and of course, the latest style!
Winter is glamorous in the way summer never can be. And, there is one word to sum up make-up for this season: polished (think: classic Celine-style rather than flashy Versace). Understated, smoky shades of coffee and chocolate for eyes, fresh berry shades on cheeks and lips are the of-the-moment palettes - the shiny fresh face of summer has been substituted for a more matt, understated look. It’s time to replace your pared-down summer make-up bag and its glossy, fruit-colored contents with an elegant little velvet number full of smoldering shades.
For winters, regular skin care and cosmetics products are necessary for heavy makeover. In the winter season, everybody wants to polish properly and look very glamorous.
Tips
Either your moisturizer or your foundation should have broad-spectrum sun protection factor to block UV sunrays that do not leave our skin alone even for winters. Matt finish foundation is better for winders.
For winter makeup color, think rich! Jewel tones and luxurious browns are great for winter because they make up for the color you don’t usually have when the weather turns icy. More important than ever—moisturize! Changes in temperatures (inside with the heater to outside where it’s freezing, then back to your car where you turn the heater on, etc) can dry your skin out fast. Keep it smooth, and flaunt that fair skin—just don’t forget to protect it; UV rays still penetrate your skin even if it’s not hot outside. A good moisturizer with SPF 15 (at least) will keep you hydrated and looking young.
During winters, Smokey eyes are looked very beautiful and best than other eye makeup. One can use coffee and cinnamon shades for eye shadows for getting sultry effect.
For winters, use small quantity of skin-priming moisturizers on the face and neck. Do not forget to apply the waterproof moisturizers behind the ears. Use of night cream will be heavy during winter season.
Deep red or warm red brown lipstick look good in winters and add glow to skin.
If one wants to give sport eyelashes as long, one should try fake eyelashes, which may be applied by using tweezers.
For lips, use more berries and plums. Adding this color to your lips automatically adds more colors to your cheeks and sparkle to your eyes. Added bonus: they make your teeth look whiter because they’re blue-based. As with the blush, redheads and those with yellow undertones may want to try a coral-pink lipstick instead.
To brighten a winter washed-out face, bring back your bronzer. The reddish brown tones help counteract the ruddiness brought on by colder air. However, don’t go more than two shades darker than your skin tone or you’ll look muddy. Using a large blush brush, tap areas of your face that naturally pick up color from the sun: your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. For a greater glow, add a touch of pink blush to the tops of your cheekbones.
